Why we ditched capsules and went back to whole saffron threads
Most "mood support" supplements on the shelf are powdered extract stuffed into a capsule. Cheap to make, easy to fake the dose, and you have no idea what's actually in there.
We went the harder route: whole, hand-harvested Super Negin grade saffron threads. Nothing ground up, nothing extracted, nothing hidden. You steep it yourself, watch the water turn gold as the crocin releases, and drink it. It's slower. It's also the only way to actually verify quality — powder hides adulteration, whole threads can't.
The two compounds researchers keep coming back to are crocin (linked to mood and emotional balance) and safranal (linked to the body's stress response). Both are best preserved in the whole thread form.
If you've been cycling through capsules and not feeling much, it might not be the saffron — it might be the format. Worth trying the whole-thread version before giving up on it entirely.
